If you are seeing this site for the first time, click this link for my story.  OK, that tells you something about MY agenda. Basically, I sell main stream model train equipment and supplies of four kinds:

  1. Previously Owned, ranging from well used to “box never opened,” sold mainly at my Bonanza.com booth. This includes product from vast personal collections, estates, specials and closeouts from big commercial dealers, and select offerings I have negotiated with private individuals on Yahoo groups and elsewhere. I usually have well over 1000 items: locomotives, rolling stock, scenic items, track and turnout, power pacs, parts and supplies, etc. I research the current pricing on the Internet and make my own pricing less in most every case. Furthermore, I include shipping in the price. What good is a $3.00 boxcar if shipping is $10? Finally, I allow up to a 20% discount for purchasing multiple items on one order. This is a way to recognize that the shipping cost per item gets lower as you buy more items at one time. Details are found in the “Fleet Discount” item on my bonanza.com site.

For a quick-take on what I currently have listed, click this view Bonanza Inventory link. Otherwise, to see the complete booth, click this www.bonanza.com/jsgeare link.

  2. Inventory Clearance of pre-owned and upgraded rolling stock. Hundreds of built up Blue Box kits, upgraded with metal wheels and knuckle couplers. Important note: The inventory appears on spreadsheets, with links to pictures. The inventory lists are updated with every sale and should be current. But the pictures are NOT updated. Therefore, buy from the listing, NOT from the picturers! You may get to the listings either from my Bonanze booth (Inventory Clearance panel at top of booth) OR directly from right here. Here is the link to the Rolling Stock Inventory Clearance.

  3. “Discount” New merchandise from leading vendors. Many of the names you know (Bachmann, Atlas, Kato, Bowser, Caboose Industries, Kadee, etc.) and many you may not know (Deluxe Innovations, Railway Express Miniatures, Classic Metalworks). Locomotives, rolling stock, structures, scratch building parts, adhesives, tools, books, DCC, signals, and more, all in one place. Here’s the link to New Product Sourcing.

  4. Select Always In Stock items I keep on hand (or try to) all the time, such as Atlas track and turnouts, roadbed, rail joiners, CA glue, Kadee #5’s, Tortoise Motors, InterMountain wheel sets, Xacto tools, etc.  Click this Quick Pick link to see what we have listed for you.

  5. The “Such a Deal!” pages. Whenever I come across something I really believe is a big deal -meaning rare, unusually low priced, or of exceptional value, I put it on the Such a Deal page to call your attention to it. Listed items are not necessarily mine – if they’re good, they’re good – and I don’t care where they are or who sells them.  If I catch a real bargain from a well known source, I’ll alert you to it. (Page under construction – please come back later).
